Space For Group And Band Lessons
Group lessons are an incredibly valuable experience for aspiring musicians looking to enhance their skills and take their talents to new heights. From our renowned R.M.S. David Rose
Director of Education and Music Instruction
David Rose's musical journey began when he picked up the trumpet during his fifth-grade year in the school band. After a successful career in business management, he pursued his passion for music by earning degrees from Merced College. He focused on guitar performance with an emphasis on music theory and also obtained a degree in music history. Since 2010, David has been teaching various instruments to students in the greater Merced area. In 2019, he established Rose Music Studios alongside his wife Leanna.
Leanna Rose
Director of Student Relations
Leanna Rose has accumulated over 25 years of experience in the Customer Service and Administrative field. Originally hailing from The Bay area, she developed a passion for live music while growing up amidst her parents' ownership of a country night club in Santa Clara. It was during this time that she also occasionally performed alongside the bands, nurturing her love for singing. In 2015, she relocated to Merced after spending 15 years in Nashville, TN. It was here that Leanna met David Rose and together they founded Rose Music Studios in 2019.
BJ Humpal
Music Instruction
BJ Humpal, a band director hailing from Merced, CA, possesses an impressive 24 years of music education experience. Throughout his career, he has successfully taught individuals of all ages in various schools across Merced County. These include establishments within the Merced City School district, the Weaver School district, and the Merced Union High School district. With a warm and inclusive approach coupled with professionalism, BJ ensures that his instruction provides both enthusiasm and educational value to his students.
Mike Mancebo
Music instruction
Mike has been actively engaged in drumming since 2003 and ventured into teaching the instrument in 2012. He offers comprehensive lessons for beginners to advanced learners on various percussion instruments, including snare drum, drum set, xylophone, marimba, bongos, and congas. Having a background in concert band and marching band as well as extensive experience playing in rock bands from the age of 14 onwards, Mike is dedicated to continuously honing his skills through practice, and endeavors to equip his students with all the necessary knowledge required for them to embark on successful musical journeys.
